Image Flashes on Boot

Hey guys, any idea what would cause the screen to blink or flash on boot. It seems to clear up after the game boots. This is the second tube I've tried it on so I would think it has to be the K7000 chassis. Thanks!

the tubes can do it too. I've mostly seen it on older stuff like K4600 or K4900 though. it's where electron gun has a short to the heater, which is a constant voltage, and it'll make that color go full blast. that doesn't appear to be the case with yours though, I've also seen K4900s do it and the cutoff pots on the neckboard were just dirty. contact cleaner (I'll suggest deoxit this time) and wiping the pot back and forth several times should clear that up. see if that helps.
