I'm speechless - they wanted $350 for this

I saw this at the York Pinball show. It appears to be a 4-in-1 type board in a free-standing...mess.

Now please understand, I can get with the 'framework' aesthetic where you just have outlines of stuff (I've often thought of building a cab out of iron pipe).

But you know, you should use something more than TAPE to hold the whole thing together. And in case it's not clear from the pictures, the tape on the CP actually covers up extra buttons that aren't used.

Oh yea, and that 'bezel' on the LCD monitor? Yep, you guessed it, more tape!

It's a VGA monitor, but the builder didn't bother with an extension cable that would allow the wiring to not hang in mid air.

And he/she/it wants $350. OBO. Sigh.

Someone please tell me this was some kind of joke? And that I just didn't get it?

Maybe a small child put it together and their parent(s) brought it to the show so they could learn entrepreneurial skills. At least I hope that's what happened.

Another pile that belongs in the patheon of piles....like the SW chair, the dresser Centipede, the rubbermaid Gauntlet, and the Bugs Bunny Punch-Out.If anyone fairly new to the forums is wondering what these are, just search for them, there are probably at least half a dozen threads for each one.

Its a rare prototype. You guys passed on a piece of history.

Indeed. Its 3M Corporations brief foray into arcade gaming, thats why the whole thing is made of tape. There is an even rarer cockpit cabinet buit entirely out of Post It notes.

Kinda understandable because just about every game had 3M adhesive on the artwork and BITD, EVERYONE wanted a piece of the arcade goldmine ;)
