I just finished my first cap kit and IT WORKED!!! (k7400 with a rescue kit from arcadecup!)

woohooo!!!!

lol

Thanks for everyone here who have posted such valuable information!!

Man....I don't think I will ever have the balls to try and do something like that...:/ electronics and I don't get along... so good job!!

Thanks man

I really have to say, the last couple of years of hard research and experimentation have really paid off. Not only did I get tested with the monitor chassis rebuild, but I got 2 games up and running; a 60 in 1 and a naomi. My true test is ahead of me though, i picked up a gyruss cabinet..... that's actually a TRON!

Kickass! THey arent always so easy to fix, but screw it man why not try? Thats how i learned about game repair. Gave it a shot with the guidance of folks here and now i can actually do some repairs with some confidence!

Congrats! I hope my future cap kit of a 4600 goes well.

K4600s are the easiest monitors to do a cap kit on. A 4600 was my first cap kit and it worked great when I finished. I just did my second cap kit on a G07 and now it doesn't get power LOL. I know what I did but I haven't had time to look into it and fix it because of school.
