I'm psyched! - Williams IJ is coming!

Retro: Congrats on a long awaited "wish" pin! December 7th probably can't get here soon enough!

Mike, your IJ looks great!!!

I've been chomping at the bit for one too, and by freak chance a buddy of mine mentioned that he has one that he bought brand new, and is selling her to me for $2,500!!! HUO for a great price!! I think I'll be driving to his place in a couple weeks to pick it up. The downside is that it's a seven hour drive and I'll need to rent a van...

Now if I can find a friend who bought a Cirqus Voltaire...LOL!!!

I've already ordered a pinball pro SWTR-2HE speaker kit for and have the replacement artwork package in hand too.

I plan on playing a few games, then pulling it apart to restore the cab and back box. I'll likely tear down the pf next year at some point.

There was some sacrifice for this purchase (many of my vids) but honestly I am ok with it. I've enjoyed restoring them, played them for a bit... now its time for them to move on to other folks who can appreciate them.

I'm a little over three years into pin collecting, and I've yet to really miss any of the vids that I let go for pins. Not that I'm slighting vid collecting, but after you have 'em for so long and all they do is get looked at (and rarely, if ever, played), why keep 'em?

I play my pins very regularly, something I never did with all of those vids -- regardless of how many "choice" titles I once had.

And congratulations on Indiana Jones score. I sure wish I had one!

Yeah... I learned that I really enjoy the restoration aspect of video games... making them perfect. There are a few titles that are near and dear to me that I do enjoy playing. After several years of horse trading and restoration the "must haves" have percolated to the top, and those I've kept. I may still pick up a vid or two here and there to restore... but pinball machines give me plenty of "tinkering time" that I need to satisfy my restoration urges :)

Pinball machines get way more play time... hands down. Restored vids are a novelty that most people go "wow I remember that game" and walk away. Turn on a pinball machine... regardless of what title it is... people generally will want to play it.

I've got a good mix of games now. I have less clutter and I've a plan for the room... just so happens pinball machines now have the majority stake in that plan ;)

I'll trade you a Tempest, Asteroids Deluxe and Missile Command for the IJ!

:)

That IS funny! Will you deliver? ...and add a SW upright, Berzerk, APB and a Space Duel to the pot?

BTW... even though this machine is in perfect working order... its going into the Restoration thread... I'm going to dismantle it and it shall be my only "restoration" of 2012.

Must be IJ month, I pick up mine this Friday, the 9th!

Here's a couple pics he sent me, all HUO, the only issue is that's it's throwing a switch error on test, should be an easy fix. This will no doubt be the centerpiece of my collection, all my others have seen public play time, but not this one!!
