I'm going to call this one Bronze

🤣
I hope it didn't set you back much to get up and running.
Probably belongs in a Arcade Museum somewhere.
Looks like it was more a Special Effects Ride than Video Arcade game though. Back then a lot of the "games" kind of blurred the lines.

But I give it a 👍 though, I dont think I ever saw one before.

Love the early Machines, some are just so bizare.

Hilarious, I wouldn't break the bank to get it up and running.

Cool enough just as a conversation piece.

That's actually really cool....
I wonder if they used the same raster circle drawing circuit that Atari did on a couple B&W games.

Quite ingenious and worthy of study.

Meh, more of an oddity. probaby little actual ramifcations on the game industry. Gameplay if any sounds like it was awful.
Cool looking Cabinet Though

After playing 50 credits or so (probably more), I can say without any shadow of a doubt, this game is actually really fun.
Only 50 games?
Now if you said 500, I might of believed you
If it plays like the youtube Demo, 50 would probably be the very max you could get out of it.
I Would rather watch the complete series Library of the Great Space Coaster.
🤣

Im finishing up some documentation on it, I might dump a quick thread with the backstory and full gameplay. Its not bad but it's NOT the same as the MAME roms I understand. o_O

Did you ever rip the ROMS and do a ROMIDENT on them? Curious if they are the same or not and if not, older or newer.

I think the ROM data is the same, it's just that there's a lot of TTL circuitry on this board as well helping it along.

I took some time off from Drag Race to clean this one up. November-December 1979 qualifies as Bronze, right?

12 inch speaker!

Bronze Age? not sure?? I kind of consider Space Invaders as the beginning of the "Golden Age" which was released in November 1978, so anything after November 1978, I would probably have to consider still Golden Age, even if it was a crappy game.
Although there were probably some good arcade games made before November 1978, there is simply 2 time periods for Arcade Video games, Before Space Invaders and after Space Invaders.
Video Arcade games just hit a whole new level after Space Invaders was released, most likely the Atari 2600 had something to do with that. Might be just me but when Space Invaders was ported to the Atari 2600, in March of 1980, that was really when the Video Game Industry went nuts.
Yeah the 2600 port of Space Invaders was probably the game changer and probably the actual begining of the Golden Age.

@SNESNESCUBE64 helped dump the ROMs tonight with a Unipak Data I/O

The data for the current ROMset is exactly the same, so it is the MAME emulation that's lacking. For what it's worth, high quality pictures of the logic board were taken in the hopes of furthering better emulation of the game.

Much appreciated. I know it's a PITA but every once in a great while you find something new.

One down, a million more to go. There are so many more left to preserve. I'm always interested to see what the rest of the year holds.
Dang, I was hoping to try that one out at GC's place.

Near any airports?

To me if it's 197X it's Bronze Age. I like to trigger my buddies by telling them Galaxian is Bronze Age. :ROFLMAO:

This one was always destined for @Dillweed . When it became available I had no idea what it even was, he had to point it out to me.

And yeah, it involves some skill and seemed fun for the several games I played.
