I'm going to call this one Bronze

Sorry. As the official keeper of the Bronze Age Registry I have to veto this one.

Released in 1980 with a microprocessor and a color display. Too many strikes against it.

But DANG that's a cool one!
Can't wait to see it up and running!

The cabinet looks pretty bronze age... I guess it was just a little old-fashioned for when it was made. Very cool regardless!

@cwilkson "Released in 1980"

1) Never actually released. This prototype went into the field as a test, then Meadows went out of business.

2) 1979. Meadows was out of business by November, so impossible to be 1980. VAPS has it wrong.

3)

I stand corrected. I suspected it was a proto based on the rarity. I'm waiting for a plane and can't properly research on my phone.

I would argue the "release" would have been 1980 if it was testing in October/November. But that's pure speculation. Is there a flyer available? What does it say?

It's a proto so I guess you have to compare the would have been timeline with other prerelease games that did make it out the door to production.

But with a late 79 field test it's well past the traditional Bronze Age.

But why are you wasting your time here?
You should be working 24/7 on that cool ass super rare game. We want to see more than some nasty old YouTube footage! 😁

I'll watch that video later, BTW. When I have a real display in front of me. Thanks for the link!

NOW GET TO WORK!😁

Looks very interesting - nice job grabbing this one. I'd love to see it working!

It was actually in very good shape electronically, pretty good shape structurally and not terrible cosmetically. Its now 100% working as intended and pristine. Mostly elbow grease on 45 years of warehouse dust.

Im finishing up some documentation on it, I might dump a quick thread with the backstory and full gameplay. Its not bad but it's NOT the same as the MAME roms I understand. o_O

How about a longer video of it playing? It looks intriguing! Is it a shooter or a dodge em?

gameplay looks bad:( Awesome cab though!

?? Probably earliear than 1979
Looks like the Company was West Coast, I have never seen it before, and I have seen a alot of Early Arcade Games.

But I give it a 👍 though, I dont think I ever saw one before.

Love the early Machines, some are just so bizare.

Hilarious, I wouldn't break the bank to get it up and running.

Cool enough just as a conversation piece.
