Well... This year we are having Thanksgiving at our house and my Arcade is going live for the first time for all my family to enjoy. T2 Judgment Day arcade , ASTEROIDS , DEFENDER , TEMPEST and CENTIPEDE and DIG DUG all on for an extended amount of time. Mind you I do turn them on individually and play but all at once for an extended time not yet. I've done my best to get them all ready and Im a bit nervous. I hope they all stay up and working and everyone has a great time. Wish this noob good luck. LOL Oh... and HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone.

You have enough games that you don't need to worry about one going down. My biggest concern is having it happen when I'm not around. Seeing it crap out and knowing what happened and being there to yank the plug quick is my main concern.

Good luck!

Bummer about your Asteroids man.

you can take it to the bank that one will likely conk out on ya. i had back to back gatherings at my place the last 2 saturdays

first saturday ... pacman wouldn't come on, ms pac worked great

second saturday ... (and i had done nothing with either game from the weekend before), Pacman worked great, Ms Pac had nothing but a garbled screen

all part of the hobby man

regardless though i'm sure your guests will love it! :)

all your games will be fine except tempest lock that one away tell no one you have it :)

machines going down is part of the hobby, they will enjoy it no matter what trust me.
the light in peoples eyes just seeing one arcade is awesome you have enough machines to keep that going, even if one or two go down.

relax and enjoy your holiday my friend.

Chances are a machine or two will go down, depending on how much work you have done to them.

Better chance that 3 years from now, you won't even remember which game died that first year, but you will remember the look on friends and families faces when they see the arcade functional and in all its glory that first time.

Its fixed now, but it crapped out before Halloween and was dead in the water until after Thanksgiving. Your post just reminded me of how it sat for both parties. I fire everything up the week before and let it run for a couple hours, but it seems like something always goes wrong when a lot of people are going to be over!

I'm with everyone else, you'll be fine.

That's the best out of order sign. Lol

A machine may or may not go down, but your guests will talk about the experience forever.

Yes. Like my brother will talk about tonight for years to come because I went mental on him for smacking one of my games.

These machines break, and a lot of the time at the worst time possible. Just another joy of the hobby. People will still think they are cool even down...

Your not the only one who has gone mental on your brother for hurting a game :)

Think positive!

Avoid the negative waves!

It will be just fine. If one breaks, you can fix it. You're handy!

And you'll amaze most of your friends / family for being handy. Because 99% of the people in the world aren't.

I tried to explain my science fair to the class and explained what capacitors were. They thought I was in Isis I was shit it's not that hard I explained it as easy as possible anyone could understand. It's not most people aren't handy they just choose ignorance.
