My 4-year old daughter uttered these words the other night as she watched me playing Ms. Pac Man. I said "now honey what makes you say that". She said "you're just really really good."
I enjoyed having this discussion with her. I finally said "you will be better at this one day than I ever will. Know why?" She looked at me in disbelief, and said "how?"
It was pretty unbelievable to hear myself saying this, but this was my reply:
"JEB (her initials), you are 4 years old, and already good at this game. This game wasn't even out yet when I was 4. It didn't come out until I was 11.. And even when it did come out, I sure as heck didn't have one at my house! I had to pay money to play this game at the arcade, where all you have to do is come out here [in the garcade], drop a quarter in (which are provided to you), and you're on your way... Trust me, you'll be better at this game than I ever was......."
It is so funny to know that from her perspective, everyone has at least one arcade game in their house, along with a jukebox, and a payphone.
This is a true story.
