I was at IKEA yesterday and they had some LED strips that can toggle between something like 7 or 8 colors. I picked up 3 kits. I have installed them on Lost in Space and Royal Rumble, once I move Next Gen into place I will put the last kit on it....

How do you guys think it turned out?

AC powered. They also can fade between tthe colors, pretty cool.

really easy to install, they are just stuck to the bottom of the cab using medium strength velcro tape. I wanted to use something that would easily come off the bottom of the cab. The stuff I used is typically used for hanging picture frames on walls, its not something that is suppose to stick forever or destroy the wall.

The LED's have their own plug, and are plugged into the same power strip that the pins are on, when I flip the swich to power the outlet the pins come on as well as the bottom LED's.

They were 40 bucks per LED kit and I got 3 of them. I was hoping to be able to use 1 kit for 2 pins but the cables to power the 4 LED strips in the kit were not long enough to get from one machine to the other. This way looks cleaner anyway. I think I did a good job hiding all the wires under the pins, lucky for me the pins are up against a ledge where all of those cables can go. It would have looked pretty bad if the LED's would have called attention to a rats nest of wires under the pins....a bit on the pricey side but I really like how they look.

Wow looks as good as the $ 100 kits some sellers sell. I'm going to get a set too. Did one kit do all 3 ?

I needed 3 kits at 40 a pop. The wires are too short to get from one machine to the next. Still a pretty cheap solution.

If you guys want I can take a picture of what is going on under the cab so you can get an idea of how I put it together.

Let me know

If its not a hassle, I would like some shots of underneath. I pass ikea everyday, and my Dr Who might need a nice blue glow...

I agree, Dr Who does need a nice blue glow....

The 3rd pic is the rats nest of wires behind the pins, unless you are looking back there you can't see anything. If you don't have a ledge for the wires you could prob use the same velcro stuff and sick the wires to the back of the cab so the floor is nice and clean, I am really anal about my new game room so I am trying to make everything as clean as possible...

wow, that's nice.

I store crap under my pins, I'm going to use these behind the back box to illuminate the wall behind it.

Going to try and extend the wires in between so you can use one for a few pins.
