I'm glad I got my refund. This whole thing sounds like a mess. I wish everyone luck in getting their money back.

How, and when did you get your refund ?

Was it a Paypal refund or check ?

Was this recent, or back last summer ?

Did you call or e-mail him (...and what contact info did you have ) ?

It seems things have seriously deteriorated since December...

You are indeed VERY lucky to get your money back...

It was a PayPal refund for $2500. He told me about 6 weeks for the new Star Wars Cockpits to ship and I emailed him after 6 weeks and they were not done. After a few emails he then called me back by phone and offered a full PayPal refund. My experience with him overall was good. He was quick to email me back. When I called him by phone I always got his voice mail but he did return my few phone calls. This was mid-2010. I would expect by now that the 20 pre-order people who bought the Star Wars cockpits would have all received their machines by now since it's way beyond the 6 weeks time frame he gave me in May 2010.

It's too bad I had to ask for a refund. I much rather had a new Star Wars Cockpit game instead.

I just want my $3250 and David can stick his stuff up his rear.(good practice for prison)

You need to go out and immediately buy a lottery ticket, because this streak of insanely good luck you had will not last forever.

Has anyone had any contact from Dave or Adam lately?

Just wondering if I am getting the cold shoulder from Adam or is everyone...

Well since most of us assume that Adam "is" Dave,
it's not a surprise that neither are responding.

My last contact with Dave (on the phone) was Jan 22nd.
Dozens of attempts since and many voice messages have yielded nothing.

My last e-mail contact with "Adam" (..who never wanted me to call him...),
was last Thursday Feb 10th (over 1 week ago...).
Here too, my many e-mails since, have gone un-answered...

Something stinks to high-hell and I'm certainly not going to sit by
and let him pull this stunt on me...

adams is his last name. so same guy differant day

I know that. Just wondering if the 2nd personality was still responding.

Powermeup, you have/had a relationship with Dave (not RAM-Controls specific). Have you been getting any communication from Dave?

I'm pretty sure that powermeup bought the williams boardset lot the Dave also "sold" me.... And according to Dave it was (coincidently) lost in the mail.... hmmmmmm what's up with that Dave?

AND Dave also claimed that he filed a insurance claim for the 2 "lost" packages. Funny that when I called the Post Office, they had no record of a filed claim. Imagine that BTW Dave, I work for USPS, so I know who to call.

I tried several more times to communicate with "Dave" and informed him, via e-mail (several addresses) that I would be willing to accept buttons, cones, switches, etc. basically anything (including a refund) to close out our account or will have no other recourse but to contact the authorities.
I sent this request to him many times over a 2 week period and since I received no response at all I have filed complaints against RAM Controls and S&S Fabrication (who had received payments for him) with the California DOJ, Orange County Police Department and the US Postal Inspector, for mail fraud.
I did not want to go this route and all I would have needed was a response to my inquiry but I guess that would have been asking too much :-(

Even though Dave hasn't logged on in ages, i would think he's still reading this thread without logging in. So, i'll post what i have loaned Dave, and i need it back. I left a message on his answering machine again (left several) since he won't pick up the phone and talk to me anymore.

Dave, if your reading this, i need these items returned, i left my address and this list of items on your machine:

Firefox cabinet hardware consisting of:
Upper and lower bezel/marquee brackets
left/right finned speaker aluminum extrusions
left/right aluminum extrusions that ran vertical on the coin panel
Control panel

Gravitar boardsets X2
Gravitar control panel

Food fight boardset
Foodfight filter board
Foodfight marquee brackets
Foodfight pcb cage

Gauntlet control panel
Gauntlet molded monitor bezel
Gauntlet speaker/marquee panel

NOS 720 upper joystick housing

NOS Tempest spinner knobs X4

I'd like these items returned within 7 days, and copy of this is sent to your Ram controls email address as well.

To bump this thread, I loaned Dave my

Missile Command cabaret control panel
Battlezone cabaret control panel

I've sent a few emails politely asking for them to be shipped back. I'd pay for shipping, if it were necessary. I can't get a response...

Maybe Dave Adam should read thier FAQ page on the Ramcontrols.com
GENERAL QUESTIONS:

Q: Why should I buy your product?
A: Because we produce quality products and stand behind each and every sale. Oh, and nobody else currently produces a comparable product line.

Q: What does "RAM" stand for in "RAM Controls"
A: RAM stands for "Retro Arcade Machine"

Q: Why do you only make controls for Atari games? Why not anything else?
A; The owners are collectors of Atari Games and want to focus on a single brand for now. But, that's no indication that we won't look into producing controls for other brands, we're just not there yet. In fact, if you look at the product line-up you will note several "placeholders" for non-Atari controllers and artwork.

Q: Can I purchase directly from your company?
A; Sure, visit our order page. Alternatively, you may contact one of our vendors and purchase through them if you'd like.

Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: Currently, we do not have a minimum order requirement.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept most payment methods, including: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Paypal, check (company, personal, cashiers) or money order. Please note that we may choose to hold check/money order payments for up to 7 days before processing orders. Some of our vendors may offer you credit terms.

A: We will ship COD for established customers. We do not currently ship COD for new customers.

A: We only list companies and people we've done business with and like. However, send us your info and we'll consider adding you.

Q: I have a problem with one of the companies you have on your links page. Do you care?
A: Sure we care. Send the specifics over and we'll take it into consideration. Each company or person we list is highly recommended and we would like to suggest that you contact them directly if you have an issue with them. It's almost a guarantee that they will resolve your issue quickly.

Q: Do you have a catalog?
A: No, we do not currently have a catalog. This may change in the future, however. In the meantime, please check out our products page.

Q: If I receive a defective item, what do I do?
A: First and foremost, contact us and explain the issue and we will respond to your query within 1 business day. We may be able to resolve your problem without a return. However, if unsuccessful, please return the defective item to the vendor you purchased the controller from. If you purchased directly from us, you will need to return it to us.

A: If you order through us and pay by credit card or paypal, your order will be processed same day or next business day. Payment by check and money order may be delayed up to 7 days. We ship everything through UPS Blue (2nd Day) or Red (Next Day), so no PO Boxes please. Note: On occasion, we may use UPS 3-day or Ground service for large orders. You will be notified of this before we ship. If you order through one of our vendors, please check with them on their order processing terms.

Q: Do you offer discounts for volume purchases?
A: Absolutely. If you're considering reselling our product line, we offer automatic discounts to our vendors. We also offer volume discounts to customers who purchase a minimum quantity of 10 pieces of any single item. If you'd like to place a large purchase, please contact us before your purchase.

Q: Do you provide tracking information?
A: Absolutely! UPS tracking is the best!

Q: I ordered something from you, but I don't have it yet, What should I do?
A: Always contact us if there is an issue of any type. Once you place an order, generally, you should have it within 3-4 business days at most. If you do not receive an order within this timeframe, your first action should be to contact us immediately so we can determine the issue and resolve it.

Unbelievable!!!!!!

Dave,

This message is for you.

I have been nothing but supportive of you. I have helped you out with $ when you needed some for a couple of months. That was almost 2 years ago. Heck, I even told people about the SW cockpit that you were going to build and at least 1 purchased. When you took full payment for it, I did not want to believe it, but the truth is coming out now, isnt it.

Please send me the parts we agreed on or the $.
