If you had to multi-game, what would you recommend?

Currently the 645-1 has the most to offer including two player games. It also has classics and other horizontal games which before was not possible.
Clearly most guys on here frown on multigames which I totally do not understand. There are probably more people overall where multigames fit better due to space requirements and the dedicated games actually get a boost in popularity and value simply because multicades exist.
Any ways I sell hundreds of both single and multis a year and today the 645-1 is the best value for the cost. $50 direct from overseas.

How could you argue with this 645-1??

Kind of a tangential question, but out of curiosity, HOW MANY of the 60, 512, 645, etc. games on a multiboard ACTUALLY get played? 15? 20? I see it like driving McLaren F1 (or overpowered car of choice) in the U.S. Sure it is CAPABLE of 240mph...but you'll probably never get it above 120. I guess you have the choice and COULD play all the games if you wanted, but realistically...how many get played?

I have the 412-in-1 vertical board. You can actually remove games from the list so they don't appear. I've removed about 300 games I had no interest in. What's left is stuff I actually play (or my kids do).

I've often thought a neat feature for a multiboard would be to sort the game menu by playcount. Push the frequently played games to the top of the list. Then you could leave all your games active, but not have to sort through them to find the ones you actually play.

Yes. Obviously, and especially so on the 645-1, there are a larger quantity of games that won't get played. But they can be turned off so the fact that 645-1 includes both the 412-1 and 621-1 games, verticle and horizontal, it clearly has the best bang for the buck since its cheaper then a 60-1.
Now on the other side, I played plenty of games as a kid, but until I setup a fully working loaded Hyperspin cab there were hundreds I never got to play as a kid and now an afford to play. So it's not at all about how many get played?? It's all about for the same price you get to play 20-300 new ones that actually are cool as all get out.
Snow Bros, half the classics I never even knew existed, smash tv, most the vector games, there's just a huge reason dedicated or not that at this point in the game name is 100% the way to go. Now if you want 5 games on a cocktail get a 60-1 and turn them off.
But the 1033-1 can now play both 412 and 621 boards combined on this-

The horizontal panel is a sleeper - flips out for use. This multi stuff reinvents the standard cab and that can not be denied.

Unfortunately sort by and stuff like that will most likely hit the Chinese knock off setup much later then the Hyperspin setup. But that sort of stuff is already possible with Hyperspin to some degree.

based on my experiences like having games in my wife's daycare.

if that family wants to easiest experience and can afford it, the arcadesd is still the best one due to the menu.

the 60-1 is a fairly easy experience.

the xxx-1 menu takes a bit more thinking and it has that stupid countdown that takes you into a game then stays in it. the kids had trouble with the p1-p2 and subsequent menu choices for backing out, especially when the kid didn't know how to read.

No it doesn't. Nothing that a little reading can't solve.
I have a time pilot 84 cab with mame. It boots to time pilot 84 and anyone walking in and seeing the cab would not even know it's a mame cab.
Just because you have lots of trouble doesn't mean everyone else does. Just read up on it a bit. It's is NOT that complicated or hard to do.
I think it's guys like you who always say how hard it is that gives everyone the impression it's just too much hassle to learn how to do it.
I could put a mame system together in under an hour easily and I am not an expert.

A well done MAME cab takes WORK. A lot of it.

I'm no stranger to MAME. I get it. But if you want to set up a cab to play many different games, you are going to have to put in some time.

Let's see a youtube video of your Time Pilot, from fresh boot to game coined up. Class is in session, bro.

Really any cab (williams, Atari, midway) that's already been converted to something jamma (horizontal or vertical, your choice) would work. Bonus then you just order an arcade sd, tune the monitor, maybe rebuild the cp. I would look for like a raiden or a mk type cab if going horizontal.
