I'm asking this of you fellow KLOVers, if you had a choice between these three pins, what would you buy?
-Defender Pin / $1,200(unshopped, don't know if there are issues or not)
-Blackhole Pin / $1,600(fully shopped)
-Revenge From Mars Pin / Undetermined price as I am talking to three different people here in town own these(in good to great condition, unshopped)
I have seen some talk about the low makes of the Defender pin, but I haven't played one. The collector side of me says jump at that, but is it worth the play or the rarity factor?
I have also not played the Blackhole pin, but for an older pin, it made me smile just looking at the machine and imagining what the play would be like.
The RFM, I played for about 3 straight hours today. Before this game, The Addams Family was high on my list of what to get, not I'm not so sure.
I'm off to go play TAF pin and see if it still holds that same feel and excitement that it had back when I was younger. Has that happened to anyone else? You remember a game being great as a kid, then when you play it years later, and you're let down as it didn't hold the same excitement? I had that happen today with a Tron, haven't played one since I was maybe 12-13 years old, and it just didn't do it for me. Actually took it off my list of wants/grails as I walked away from that machine shaking my head. The game looked beautiful, well taken care of, but the game play was......was.....blah. No offense to any owners of the game, that one just doesn't do it for me anymore. I did learn a valuable lesson from that though, play the game before you buy, or you may be disappointed and out some good ol' cash for it.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July everyone.
