If you could only buy on pinball on 1500 budget what would you buy?

thanks

You might be able to snag any number of the very early WPC games with the alphanumeric display at that price, all of which are very good.

Just keep an eye out for the good deals, and be ready to jump at them really quick when a good one pops up.

It will be easier to say what you can't buy. 90% or more of pins cost $1500 or less!

LW3 is a very fun game. If you are looking for a rule set though, go elsewhere. It is about as deep as a 1980 pinball. I wouldn't have minded keeping it in my collection at all. Great light show, great layout for beginners and novice players.

Let's put it this way - everyone that played it loved it. Most people don't play my Whodunnit for long because it doesn't make sense to them.

One guy liked LW3 so much that he slapped a down payment in my hand and I hadn't even started restoring it yet.

But to answer your question about what $1500 or less pins I would want:

Pinball Magic (DMD)
Elvira & Party Monsters (Alphaneumeric)
Gottlieb Spider Man in excellent condition. (Early Solid State)

get a pinball you've played before you buy.

you wouldnt buy a vehicle without a test drive?

or at least play the virtual version to get an overall feel for the rules, shots, playfield layout, etc...it's not always practical to seek out the real pin and play extensively before you buy it.

IMO, as long as you have an overall feel for the game and like the theme, you can make a pretty solid decision based on putting in some hours on a virtual table.

IMO all of these are great values:

Judge Dredd
The Shadow
Bram Stokers Dracula
Tales From The Crypt
Jurassic Park
Starship Troopers
Mary Shelly's Frankenstein

But if I could only have one I'd go with Dredd. It's a ridiculous amount of pinball for the money.
