How do you think the arcade game industry would have changed, flourished?

Do you think laser games would have had a fighting chance or would their limited reliability of the hardware and replacement cost still posed a threat to their existence?

Games like Bouncer from Entertainment Sciences may have actually had a chance to compete against the big boy game corporations.

How else do you think the industry would have been affected if the arcade business model continued to grow, and home console units had not been a strong alternative?

What do I think arcade games would have evolved to had the crash not happened?

Well, games would have continued to escalate to newer and newer mediums (not just trying to one up each other with better graphics).

You've seen the movie "The Island"?

Yeah. They'd be like that right now.

I think you would see basically what you see now on a larger scale. The games would probably be alot better because there would be many companies investing money into development to come out with the new best thing. I dont think the games would be that much more advanced just because of hardware limitations. Surely everything would be PC based much like many of the games that are made now.
I would imagine true 3D games and VR would be common and lots of enviromental type cabs. Who knows...we never will.
