It was without a doubt the one used on Qbert, pepper II and I'm sure a few other games. Man this thing sucks. For starters the design puts the location of the nuts that hold this thing to the cp so close to the housing that holds the micro switches that you can not get a socket over the nuts. While I'd guess this wasn't the case 30 years ago, out of the 8 bolts I've tried to remove (I'm messing with two of these bastards) only 2 of them came off. The other 6 are just spinning. Now once you get the damn thing off the cp and remove the housing that holds the micro switches you meet up with the real treat. The c clip that holds the grommet to the shaft is recessed down in the housing where the grommet sits. It's just enough in there where it's a pain to get your fingers or any good size tools in there. On top of this their c clip is a slightly different design than any other I've ever seen. Gotta say this thing was a bitch to remove. Probably spent an hour and went through many tools trying to find one that would work. It was sheer determination that finally got this to come off. I found no tool or technique that made this easier. Once you get this off it's not so bad. I was smart enough to use lithium grease on the shaft and around the grommet so it slid in easy enough. Only thing left to do was get the c clip from hell back on. Once again this was a total PITA. I think I spent close to 3 hours rebuilding 1. I'm currently working on the second one. Other than on dedicated games I don't see this stick show up for sale often. Now I think I know why. If I were an arcade tech BITD and had one of these that needed a rebuild, it would have went straight in the trash.
