In general?

or

If I want to replace a Nanao 29" with a WG K7000 25". Will the only ill effect be a smaller screen image or will I blow shit up?

There is a particular chassis that is supposed to be a direct swap for a Nanao chassis, not sure what it is off the top of my head. I know it's not any of the common chassis out there(k7000, 4600, g07, ect....), it's some uncommon chassis. And I can't remember which version of Nanao chassis it is a replacement for.

Your best bet is to swap the entire monitor itself, fix or replace the Nanao chassis.

A K7000 25" will not work as a replacement swap.

Things that need to happen for a monitor chassis to be compatible with a tube.

The neck must fit.
The yoke wires must be a somewhat close match for resistance (inductance more correctly)
The tube should be the same size.
The High voltage should be the same, if you are using the same angle and size tube, this should already be the same.
The heater needs to be the same voltage.
The guns must be a similar current.

A good way to find out about tubes is to read rejuvenator setup manuals. they will typically list a tube's pinout, heater voltage, and gun settings.
