If I were to buy one of these fcked up mames this would be it but.......

You have no taste... :)

That is a piece of shit $50 Target special right there... 13" TV (not even a monitor)... basically a piece of crap... and it's not MAME either.

Are those jamma? I was going to buy a local one I seen for cheap and get the board out of it and put it in a real cabinet

naw. More like a plug and play setup for a TV. I was gonna do the same thing, but I keep waiting for a williams one to show up for cheap. My limit is $50 for one of these things.

SOme guy here (I always forget who it is) shoved one into a little cabaret cab.

yeah I know it's a piece of shit, but I would prefer it over the defender one.

seriously though how about them joysticks?

so i guess it might be worth it, i seen one for 60$, maybe use the the board with a tv in a regular cab

Are all the games on this just the NES version? If so, is this NES emulation then? Castlevania on a vertical monitor?

I vaguely remember putting my hands on one of these in public (not the Konami one) and the words that come to mind are "cheap and flimsy". Will this thing even hold the weight of a 19 inch monitor (aside from the obvious tweaks to get one to fit in there)? If the wood is good, *maybe* these could be good candidates for a "less shittier" MAME cabinet. Less shittier than, say, a 13 inch playing potentially NES versions of Konami games. If you're into that sort of thing.

Why does each player have 6 buttons when the most any one game uses is three (at least according to the bezel)?

They had one of these for sale at Target. I got all excited, then I tried a floor model. I almost died laughing and the employees thought I was mentally unstable. All in all this thing is a piece of trash, for the money it costs to buy one you can get a generic fighter/shmup board in a JAMMA cab from an auction and play something without having to worry about moving your wrist too fast and snapping something...

I had one of these a guy gave me or something. I sold it to somebody.

Anyways, the joysticks feel fragile. I'm pretty sure I could have snapped the joystick off the cabinet if I tried to. I resisted the urge long enough to sell it.

You know how on a typical arcade game with a happ joystick, if a kid hangs on it or something, you think "Oh, well, they built those for abuse, he wont' break anything" ? Well, that's not the case with these. I'll bet a bunch of the floor models in the store got broken. Hell you could tip the thing over if a kid did that on one of these.
