I want to remote power my games and pinball. Im just a little bit confused on what parts I need to order.

Here's what you need for X10:

A transciever. Get this one:

And then you need modules for each of your games. Be sure to get the 3-pin grounded appliance modules.

Lastly, you need a way to 'trigger' the modules. Some sort of remote. There are several remotes out there that are X10 compatible, but my favorite is this one:

Plug the transciever into your wall, sharing a circuit with your games.

Plug each one of your games into an appliance module, set to the same house and zone code as your transceiver.

Set your remote to the same house and zone codes as your modules and transceiver, and voila, you're all set.

I'm running X10 on all my games except my vectors. Those I still turn on and off by hand, because I'm paranoid.

There is a possibility that your home is wired with more than 1 phase of AC. If you have more than 1 circuit your games are plugged into you may have a problem where each circuit is running a seperate phase. I have this issue and prior to calling X10 for support I could not understand the issue that I was having.

You can also order these modules directly from X10 which I have found to typically be the cheapest method. They often do bulk buys so you may want to call in the order to get it done.

It's a good kit and they have great support.

Oh yeah just forgot. You will want to plug these into surge protectors so your games are safe from surges and shorts. To do this you typically need a small electrical extension or else each module will eat up about 3 power recepticals.

I went with monoprice which is a great solution for power cords and such.

They will then send you at least one email a day. I finally had to block them it got so ridiculous.

I use x10 modules for my Christmas light. Just realize the system isn't perfect and a line glitch could turn your module on or off when not expected. It doesn't happen often but probably once or twice a season I will notice a random light on when not expected.

Yup, this is what you want. This is the exact stuff I have and I have all 15 of my games and some lights hooked up on the 1 remote. Super easy to set up and even easier to use. you'll wonder how you got by without them once you're up and running.

I've been running the same setup in my gameroom for many years now, and it works great! As mentioned watch out for the issue with the different AC phase. I actually moved some breakers in my electrical panel to get it to work right! I think this is one of the best ways to powerup your games....and it gives wow factor when people come over "Your games are on remote control?!"

I bypassed the transceiver and remote and just use this with the appliance modules. Only drawback is it plugs in and is not mobile.
