Then does that mean the bad cap is in the vertical circuit area? I capped my DK when I first got it and although it wasnt a complete kit, (cheap-ass ebay kit...) it seemed to do the job until recently. I am seeing vertical jail bars again.

I would bet yes there are more caps needed. New components cause stress on the old. I'd order a kit from Zanen, Lizardlick or Mikesarcade and replace everything again to be on the safe side.

I am working on a list to help me determine which cap causes which failure on a Sanyo 20 EZV. (Just for my own record) But to be honest, your better off doin' 'em all as Deadly suggested. I think it's a total of 30 (including the sound bd) but Bob Roberts deluxe kit should be good.

Here is a list I found and had saved.

Nintendo (Sanyo Model 20-EZV)

C407 10uf 160VDC Causes vertical foldover. The top part of the
screen is squished.

C302 1uf 50VDC Jail bars
C467 1uf 160VDC Jail bars
C468 330uf 25VDC Jail bars
C469 220uf 25VDC Jail bars
C471 10uf 160VDC Jail bars
C472 100uf 160VDC Jail bars

C459 100uf 16VDC. Horizontal tearing. Looks as if you should be able to
adjust it out with the horizontal hold control but you can't. May cause
multiple images.

C303 10uf 50VDC Brightness too low.
