I'm looking into cap kits on bobs site and i'm not sure what to do. The monitor is a 27" Eygo/Wei-Ya. Bob has a cap kit for a 27" Eygo 428 version(no idea how i'd find the version), and 13"-28" Wei-Ya. I've looked at the monitor ID page and the pics he has of Eygo and Wei-Ya don't really look like what I have, although the Wei-Ya is the closest. How should I go about finding the right kit? Thanks

Is the monitor a standard res? If it is then the Wei Ya cap kit should work.
You can see some different Wei Ya chassis on the Alva Amusements webpage.

I assume it's standard res. I have 2 of these monitors. one was dusty as all hell but it's the working one. the other still had the plastic covering on the tube and looks brand new, but only displays red, no picture. After looking at it, there's a split in the neckboard, not sure if that's causing it. also, the piece on the flyback with the metal bar is a bit loose. anyways, the chassis are slightly different. i'll post em up.

I might try swapping the neckboard from the working one to the broken to rule out the all red issue. but right now i'm more concerned about the caps. If it comes down to it, I guess I could just write down all the values and buy them seperately.

I never figured it out lol. probably have to just order the caps individually

Did you get yours from LI klover? Cause yours looks to be the same as mine. which is VGA.

I can order the caps, I just like the convenience of Bob.

yeah I got them from Troy, they're the same.

Eygo typically put a paper label on the Wei-ya chassis. Eygo assigned their own model numbers in place of the Wei-ya original number. Usually on the monitor main board should be silkscreened the original Wei-ya model number. Wei-ya sometimes silkscreened it at the very edge of the board and the plastic or metal board support would hide it. So you should take the board holder off and look around the edges of the main board.

In general, Wei-ya used a 3 digit model number for chassis that required an isolation transformer and a 4 digit model number for chassis that did not need an isolation transformer. I think the chassis in the picture earlier is a model 1620.
