So, one of the 'perks' of my job is that I make films every day for our screenprinting department. I design and output the films, those are taken and put on emulsified screens and exposed, and then the portions that were protected by the Black parts of the film wash off with water, whereas the clear parts stay solid.

Anyway, so I have access to making films, and started thinking about my flaking Pac-Man bezel, and how it's mostly Black with a few other colors... If I could find a way to output a large piece of film to somehow adhere to the bezel glass with looking weird/milky/gross, it would look like Black ink from the front, and then I could add the other colors on the backside of the film quite easily with a paintbrush.

My question is... Is there an optically clear adhesive I could use for this? Or wallpaper adhesive? Or some other clear liquid-based adhesive I could squeegee on - like limo tint - to pull this idea off?

Any of you guys/gals out there work in the window tint industry, or something similar? And if so, can you offer me an idea/direction of a substance to use? I'm thinking this could work out really well, if so...

Am I reinventing the wheel? Has this concept ever been used before? It's almost like a second-surface overlay, but not really...

Thanks in advance.
