After three weeks of tedious negotiating and redlining, I finally was able to sign the lease this week. Coolness! Look out, there's 3,705 square feet of arcade awesomeness coming your way.

In May I had a truck do a run across the Northwest stopping in six cities to pickup seventeen arcades (we're up to 72 arcades and 3 pins so far with more lined up). One of the games was a Mr. Do which was in a horrific homemade cab. I was pleasantly surprised when two week's later an empty Universal cab showed up for $15 on Craigslist about 15 minutes from my house. But, with three storage units, my garage and my living room filled with arcades, the cab had just been riding around in my truck for a couple of weeks.

So... the Universal cab was the first item to be moved into the space. Note the green wall at left and the wall with the door at right... those walls are coming down which will leave a large open space:

Later the same afternoon NAVL showed up with a few more goodies. Thanks to Michelle at NAVL or STI or wherever she is... she made it super easy:

I actually leased two adjoining spaces so I decided to punch a passageway through the wall. The demo crew doesn't start until Monday and I just didn't want to wait. And hey, how often do you get to axe through a wall anyway:

The finished product:

And from the other side:

Again, the yellow wall with the door will come down:

And this is the space on the other side of the wall I punched through:

Next step is removal of the drop ceiling and wall demolition. More updates and photos to come!

Awesome!!! I recognize that Star Wars and Tron :)

They do look great... thanks again! I'll have a take-away brochure that will list our games, manufacturer, year released, the previous city/state of where we acquired the games and, if the game came for a KLOVer, the KLOVer's name. So... you'll be famous! : ) You too Torin!

Awesome! Can't wait to see how this ends up!

Edit: Why hello there Mr. Change Machine. Fancy seeing you here :)

Dude, like every day, duh! :D

Outstanding I'm so happy to see new arcades opening up these days. There is a guy here Chirs that just opened up one called the Atomic Arcade its on FB and such, anyways he had a lot of worries and doubts as well, but his arcade seems to be doing great. Good luck and keep us posted, I deff want to make the trip to see yours when ready...

Hope everything is set up in a few months.. We are planning on heading down.... Would be cool to have a Klov gathering there to support the new arcade..

We will definitely have a KLOV gathering for all that are able to attend. Details to be announced as we get closer. : )

nice! maybe i can get some Seattle guys to head down with me for a visit when you're open. i think it's about an 8-hour drive...

Cool... Is the Arcade going to be in Eagle or Boise?

It's in Eagle next to the Albertsons. More specifically it's in the corner about four doors down from Starbucks. It's a great high foot traffic location but also has a tucked away "underground" type feel that will complement the dark environment (we're blacking out all the windows and the only lighting will be red and other muted highlights) We have two entrances... One from the back adjacent to the stream that is within walking distance of downtown eagle and a front entrance from the Starbucks side.
