This is out of my Rush, 27" Med. Res, but I cant find any numbers anywhere on it. Bob Roberts has a kit for SI-327, just trying to confirm whether or not its the right kit. Anyone know?

It's the very last one (besides TBA) listed on Bob's "What's My Monitor?" page...

That looks the same as my Sharp SI-727R DS. You have a dual scan for sure, I can see the board used to switch it and I also see a riser board in the corner which is just like mine. I think you may have the same thing.. check my thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=143523&highlight=727

I found a guy that rebuilt my chassis and it is working great. Let me know if you need the info.

Heres the issue with mine. I had a thread on this awhile back and didnt get much feedback IIRC, other than "try a cap kit". I'm not complaining about the price tag, just curious if theres more to this "kit" and if its something I can do.

You may have a filament inside the tube that has broken loose and is interfering with the electron beam....

OK, I assume theres no way to confirm this? Perhaps something in the neck? Its not a hazard, is it?

I could try a cap kit and the worst I'm out is $15. I can acually live with the monitor this way, if I have to. But now you have me wondering if its even safe to use, assuming your theory is correct.

The easiest way to see if it is a problem with the tube is to try the chassis with another tube. I've seen black blobs on monitors that were gone after a recap, so it's worth a try for $15....
