Tonight I was playing some Ice Cold Beer and when I got to hole number 4 it just drops through and it's registering. Seeing it was working a few days ago I'm thinking it's most likely an issue with the switch.

Any easy way to troubleshoot this one?

Multimeter in audio diode test to the contacts of the switch in question. Manually drop the ball through and see if you get a beep. If you don't, try pushing the little "leaf" on the switch in with your finger. If don't get a beep with the ball, but you do with your finger, then you might have to adjust it a little or get a new switch if you can't get the adjustment right on it.

If you get a beep both time, check at the board connector and see if you get a beep there when you push the leaf in. If you don't... harness issue. If you still get a beep... trace if back in the schematic, see where the first stop is and check the outputs of that chip... and just keep going from there.

I think there's a test for them built into the board... but going through the test menu on that thing is a friggin' PITA.

The edge connectors on these are pretty crappy, check those first. You can look down inside the connector and see some of the pins flattened out. I have seen several machines with bad EC including my own. They cause all kinds of weird problems that come and go. I replaced all three on mine and its been good to go ever since.
Might not be your problem but thats the first thing I would check.
