The ball rods on my game are not moving up and down as they once were. In the manual it states to use silicone on them every 60 days. Plus it also states to lubricate mechanical parts too.

Can anyone provide me any advice on what brand of lubrication I should use on this game? I read not to use 3 in 1 or WD40. I also read that Nyogel works well but is rather sticky. What do you guys think?

Any Ice Cold Beer or Zeke's Peak owners provide any feedback on what works for them?

Thanks so much!

I use 3M 08897 on my ice version(the 2003-2006 version) on the rods. I had it sitting around. Seems to work well on them.

First you have to remove the rods and wipe all the gunk off. I use
a rag with some simple green.

I reassemble them with a light coating of lightweight white lithium grease. You
can't use heavy grease or it will gum up (attracts dust). I get 3 months of
hard use (it's in an arcade) without any problems.

Thanks for the info JD. Any chance you can tell me the brand of lithium grease you use? I can always google it to see what's out there but figured if someone already had a good working brand then it would make sense to try that.

Thanks again and thanks everyone who made suggestions. I really appreciate it.

The manual calls for silicone grease. I found a small tube at a local true value hardware store.

As stated above, clean the old gunk off first then re grease.

Ice Cold Beer + lube

This is 100% the right way to go. Also if it's home use that white lithium grease will last ages. I cleaned mine one a year.
