ice cold beer......pinball plunger not kicking ball up.

So when the ball get off the game field to where the tilt pointers is on the bottom it tries to.kick the ball. Ack up tk the game but it can't. Anyone direct.me to a new plunger if help me fix mine?

go to www.twistywristarcade.com, he's got the stuff for the game. I'd talk to him (Riptor) first though, he could probably answer your question, Mine was working fine so I never had to mess with that part. It could be the game board, but if it's 'trying' to kick the ball that's probably not your problem, it's probably just soemthing mechanical.

The first thing to check is to make sure the plunger is free moving in the coil/sleeve. As far as getting a coil im sure you can find it but it would take some research.
I have never had to work on this part of the game so I would have to take a look at the schematics. There should be a transistor on the main board that switches it.

Check if you have power to the coil. There should be 24vdc on each lug of the coil. If not, check the power supply.

I had the same issue. The plastic tip of the metal tube plunger had fallen out. It would just keep hitting the ball but not into play. I was able to replace it with a Q*bert knocker plunger and it worked great.

How? The knocker plunger is alot longer than this one. I have cut the qbert plungers down on the lathe for these before. Did you cut it down or use it as it was?

Used it as it was and it worked like a charm. Slid right into the solenoid and rested against the stop. When tested, it shot the plastic tip into the molded plastic just as it should and I never had a ball not make it over the hump.

Well thats good to know. I just assumed it would be too long since its about a half inch longer.

I found some of the correct plunger coils, will order a few. I gotta order a coil for a pin im working on anyways.

I have a few of the outhole kicker plunger coils in stock and will be adding them to the website either today or tomorrow.

Here is what's going on from what I see. When the ball gets thrown out of field and ends up on the bottom the plunger for a to kick the ball up to the start position. The inner sleeve seems to pop up with thw metal plunger and then gets stuck. I'll have a video later today.

The coil sleeve should have a shoulder on it that keeps it from moving.

anyone figure out what the problem is?

You either have the wrong coil sleeve installed or its the correct one and its broken. It needs to have a flange/shoulder to prevent the sleeve from moving up/down with the plunger.

At minimum you need to replace the coil sleeve. It seems to be missing the flange that keeps it from moving. PM me your address and I will send you one.
