Yesterday I responded to a Craigslist posting for an Ice Cold Beer glass bezel for $10...it looked good in the pic, so I figured it'd replace one on the 2 machines I'm restoring (1 machine done, 1 machine in progress). I was talking to the guy on the phone and he said, "I've got several of these, at least 10." Given that it was only about 15 minutes from my house, I hopped in the SUV and headed over.

When I got there, I found 17 Ice Cold Beer glass bezels, in varying shades, leaning up against the wall. After some brief discussion, I made a good deal for all of them and loaded them up.

Turns out the guy had them because he obtained them years ago from one of the original designers of Ice Cold Beer and they had never been installed on cabinets. Unfortunately, he simply moved them around without any protection between the sheets of glass and some of the artwork has chipped in places over the years, but in general they're all very nice. Every one of these glass bezels has the little sparkles in front of the scoring holes.

I went through them all when I got them home and will be keeping a few of them for myself and selling the rest of them. A couple are already spoken for by people who have helped me with some of my projects.

A caveat: if you're looking for a mint-condition ICB glass bezel, these aren't it. I would encourage you to wait for the forthcoming reproduction bezel from Phoenix Arcade, because we all know Darin's work is going to be stellar and if you want your machine to be mint, you'll want one of those. I don't want to impact the sales of his reproduction bezels when they become available. If your machine has a beat-up glass bezel and you want a low-cost replacement that looks better but you don't mind a few issues, then one of these might be OK.

I'll be posting a FS thread shortly after I get them sorted into condition groups. Given the size of these things, shipping will be difficult, but I will do my best to accommodate that. I will be at the Chicago KLOV Christmas luncheon on the 28th and I can bring some to that for people that will be attending. PM me if that's the case.

Anyway, I thought this was a really cool find and I want to share it with the community. They won't be priced high, just enough to get me back a little on my time and money investment. They all deserve to be placed on machines.

Happy Holidays!

Did you ask about a similar stash of Zeke's Peak bezels? :D

Oh, I asked and hunted around the facility for anything interesting. Didn't find anything else though. He's pretty much into poker tables and really old slot machines now. Nothing else arcade related. ;)
