I recently acquired a used 60in1. There was no manual so I went online. Just want to make sure of a few things before I fire it up.

1. Power inputs are +5v and +12v right?

2. Does anyone have current readings on the +5v & +12v for this board? Want to put in fuse protection.

Thanks,

Red

Yes, +5 and +12, either through the JAMMA connector or the 4 pin computer power supply compatible Molex connector.

I have never metered the amp draw. I suspect they are pretty low, compared with old boards anyway. I can possibly get the numbers for you this weekend if you are interested.

Use a 2-amp main line fuse for the cab, then use a switcher to power the board (fused internally for the +5) and run the grounds, +5, and +12 to the JAMMA connector....

I metered the amp draw on the 60-in-1 and 48-in-1. They were basically the same. I was surprised about how incredibly low the amounts were however. Would be great if someone else could confirm.

+5V ran 0.58A to 0.62A through boot and menu screen.
+12V ran .03A into the menu screen..

Note: I did not have video or speakers connected to the board as I was just quickly bench testing it.

Using the same meter on some old Konami boards registered around 3.x to 4.x amps on the +5V line on all of them (Scramble/Super Cobra/Time Pilot/etc..).

I dont mean to thread-jack, but I was also concerned with the voltage going to my 60-1 board. I had a switcher that put out good +5 and +12, but only put out -2.92 on the -5. I didnt plug the board into this switcher, but would I do any damage if I did?

The multi boards don't use -5V. They only need +5V and +12V. The -5V trace doesn't go anywhere so doesn't matter if it's connected or not, it's not used.

I've never seen a board get damaged because the voltage was too LOW. If anything, it just won't work.

Not that it would matter for your wanting to use it with a 60-in-1, because they don't use -5...
