Hi,
I purchased a Robotron a while back (uses the iCade, not original boards)

I know there are many more games on this machine, but I cannot seem to figure out how the game always boots right into robotron? I am looking to enable other games but cannot seem to get the "Menu" up to allow me to select others.

Has anyone seen this ?

thanks,
-tom

so if you go into the test menu. and turn off all games, then turn on something like Joust. hit the player 1 start button to save the changes, and reboot.
what does it come up with on the menu?

I know this may sound silly but... I can get to the test menu where I scroll through each of the games settings, however it seems to only be settings for Lives, Extra life settings. I dont see anything clearly as to "turn off" or on for each game.

when you get into the test menu. go past the hashmark screen. and on that first list pull the joystick down. you'll see all the games where you can turn them on or off with the button 1/fire.
then save the changes with the 1 player start button. important.

i don't have one of these boards running anymore so can't get a screenshot for you.

Hey 1500Points, what boards are you running now ?

i have a phoenix arcade ArcadeSD in a vertical cab.
I have a jpac interface and a laptop on my horizontal cab.
and I gave away the 60-1s and 19-1s to nephews.
they love love love them.

the 19-1 has a really old mame platform, so if you are really into robotron you aren't going to like it. the blitter and cpu/video calculations are way off. creates a sluggish experience with enemy projectiles that are blistering and not enjoyable. the game plays fun up to about wave 28, then you need to be a 30yr master veteran to succeed. :)

mame 0145u8 plays robotron/joust/bubbles spot on.

You won't get a Menu. You'll get a quick "Initializing 1" screen, then it boots straight to that single enabled game.

Really, this is almost the only way to use the Continue feature on those games that have it...
