I know this might sound like it should be posted in the Monitor section. But I have seen this to be a board problem and not a monitor problem.

The foldover has been a problem when using the iCade 60in1 board with the Nintendo Sanyo monitor from a Donkey Kong cabinet. Even though I put in a new cap kit, where C407 is supposed to take care of foldover. There is still foldover whenever the Menu screen is displayed. But most of the game screens don't have this problem only some, such as, Centipede and Millipede. Then I tried another jamma gama in there, Raiden II, and it works perfectly !

It seems that the iCade 60in1 board has such a hot signal for these old monitors which it can't handle. Because I never have this problem when using a brand new monitor with the iCade board.

Has any else noticed this weird problem before ? and if there's a fix for this ?

thanks

Yes, I have noted this problem with both the 48 and 60 in 1 when used with Nintendo monitors. This has been occuring for at least a year and a half.

I used new monitors mostly with the icade boards, and sometimes with a LCD monitor, but lately I've been trying to reuse the original monitors. So I didn't notice this before. I vaguely recall getting a 48in1 board to work with a Nintendo monitor but I'm not sure, all these monitors becomes a blur :).

Do other monitors, such as the 4600 or 4900 do this too ?

thanks

The foldover is minor and usually only affects about a 1/2 on the right, but you can still see all 6 boxes. Never had a customer notice it and since the gameplay screens are fine, I leave it alone...

yes, it's really short, less than 1/2"

But I think next time, I might go with an LCD

thanks for the help
