I would go back there and visit if I had the chance...
However if I died and could come back, I would pick the 1950's!
Cars were cooler! Life was simpler then and good times all around. Yeah!
The 1950's is the sh!t!

I was born in '73, so I remember the 80s quite well.
The arcades were like stepping into another world. The stresses of life (schoolwork, bullies, nagging parents) just melted away when you were surrounded by lit marquees and flashing pixilated sprites dancing on video game monitors all around.
And if you couldn't get to an arcade, you'd still find games at the local grocery store, convenience mart, restaurant, ice cream parlor, laundromat. They were everywhere. Even my dentist's office had a cocktail Burgertime!
I also have a fondness for the 90s, as I had a drivers license and my own disposal income by then. Didn't have to wait for the family to take me to an arcade, I could go there myself, by God! I used to hit every arcade in a 20 mile radius some days, interspersed with checking out thrift stores for Atari and Colecovision games. Good times indeed.

... The only catch is that I would have to be able to take my iPhone and a charger. ...
I would show up at the White House guard shack and say; "you see this device? I am from the future. I have to speak with the President immediately..."
