Picked up a Bad Dudes off of CL tonight. It's working, but the cab was a bit more rough than I had thought. The guy was cool about it and I ended up getting it for $100.
I got right to work taking it apart when I got home.

The seller didn't have the keys, so I drilled out the locks. Rats! Nothing in the coin box. ;P
I have to get rid of that coin up button in the front too.

The marquee light didn't work, which I discovered was because the bulbs were burned out. The socket was tilted and one of the bulbs has burned a perfect hole into the particle board. yikes!

This game should look nice next to my Robocop when it's all fixed up.

That's the same cabinet as Heavy Barrel isn't it? That's a more entertaining game IMO; plus if it was converted to Heavy Barrel (you'd need the rotary joysticks, marquee [the curved version], and bezel... and flip the monitor to vertical orientation), it would be a good rotary cabinet for the other rotary games that use that same setup (in the case of Ikari Warriors you'd either need to find the JAMMA version or get a JAMMA adapter).

Anyway, just a thought; considering you already have a Robocop which is nearly the same game as Bad Dudes, and could easily play Bad Dudes by simply swapping the board into it.

Why are you posting shots of your cab when President "Ronnie" needs your help! Are you bad enough? Well, are you?

(i suddenly feel so dirty, and ashamed)

Just a thought but what I do for things like that is find a bolt and washer about that size, paint them the same color as the cab (grey in this case), and put that into the hole. My assault had a big security lock hole in it and I did this and you barely notice it now - looks like the bolt is supposed to be there.

Thanks for the suggestion!
