I want to exchange links with other arcade website owners.

I own http://arcadecoinop.com/ The free arcade game classified. I am trying to get more people to the site to use it and a higher rating on Google. If anyone has an arcade related website and wants to exchange links that would be awesome! I will link back to your website from my link page that is located at the bottom of every page on the site. http://arcadecoinop.com/links.php

Also if anyone has games for sale list them on the site, it's all organized to sell anything you would find in an arcade.

Thanks!

Submit your link, and I'll activate it...

Thanks FrizzleFried! I got you added! I think so too I have been tweaking the site to make it real easy to find game I think the best part is being able to locate games close to you with your zip code.

I do like the zipcode search to be honest...

One thing you may want to consider is putting a shorter time limit on listings. I emailed someone about a game on there and they said they sold it like 2 years ago... and it still has 130 days left on the listing.

I would say put it up for a week, then email the option to relist it for another week each time it expires.

This would automatically remove the sold games (people almost never remove games if they are sold) and it would keep your site free from clutter of games that never sell unless the seller keeps listing them.

Either that or have a default filter on there to only show me listings that have been posted in the last 7 days and allow me to change that.

Arcadenut = I will have to think up a plan, I modeled the site off of eBay. If people use the paypal link on their listing it will automatically mark the item sold when the payment goes thru. Like on eBay I sell a lot of stuff and I have all my listings on auto relist and sometimes I sell a game somewhere else and then someone buys it from me on eBay and then I have to tell them it's been sold and refund them their money. But I think your right, a way to look at the really newest items would be a good idea so I will build that into the site. I will have to think of a way to remove stuff that is really not for sale but all the sellers email address are verified so they would be notified if someone did write them. I have stuff that has been sitting on eBay for years and it's still forsale I wouldn't want eBay deleting my listens just because it's been so long. Anyway the idea about seeing the really newest stuff up for sale is a good idea, ill get that working!

BUT ebay doesn't let you keep it listed for years unless you relist it and that is what i think is being asked. if its for sale still then just like ebay or craigslist they have to renew it so the seller is confirming its still for sale otherwise it becomes a mess of stuff your looking through that truly isn't still for sale which is a waste of everyone's time and i think it would greatly improve your site which from what i have seen looks like a great start.

If you have stuff sitting anywhere for long periods of time without selling it means the price is way too high, or the information provided about the item is insufficient to make a decision.

If the seller has to keep renewing it, maybe they'll get a clue and either modify the listing, or change the price, or just give up.

As a buyer, I only want to see things that are still available and in the price range I want.

Having a Pac-Man out there for 2 years at $3K doesn't do anyone any good. (Arbitrary example)...

You don't have to relist on eBay at all and here is a picture for proof listed 2013 good till cancelled and that is how I list everything. I never get any emails from eBay asking me to relist. Going on 3 years lol

I added you to the very bottom of my Space Invaders Info page, my most popular by far...

Might I suggest a section in the video game parts just for control panels.

Cool site though.

You could offer different lengths of time... and when a listing expires, it could be saved in a "Drafts" type section only the seller could view... of course with a "relist" option.

Something like:

STANDARD LISTING - Your listing automatically expires in 45 days.
EXTENDED LISTING - Your listing automatically expires in 180 days.

But I WOULD require an expiration ... as you will NEVER EVER EVER get people to "always" come in and de-list their ads when they sell.
