But only IL makes them orange, and I am worried that it will suck compared to the HAPP ones. Yes I know that the HAPP version is a copy of the IL, but my Marvel Vs Capcom came with IL comps and I couldn't activate a diagonal with them, and yes it had the 8 way actuator.

The IL my in MVC looked identical to the replacement HAPPs I got, but for some reason the actuator just doesn't press the switches as well.

So I am worried that if I buy an IL competition stick it will be just as bad. I suppose I could just use the Stick and dustwasher from the IL and put it in a HAPP stick. Before anyone says that the HAPP have actuator problems with the black acutators, that problem has been fixed, but I still order the white actuators with my sticks.

Anyway anyone recently bought an IL comp from Lizard Lick?

Long story short.

HAPP's (ever since they started using cheapo chinese parts) are GARBAGE.

IL's as they are now are pretty much the closest to great control that you will get. The old Happ's and IL's were one and the same, but now pretty much IL is your best bet by far.

I recently restored a marvel superheroes dynamo HS-5, and ordered some brand new Happ competitions. put the sticks in, and had a hard time pulling off even the easiest special moves (keep in mind that I've been playing fighting games since, SF: The world Warrior), and after putting in some IL comps, the control was like a dream.

The IL's are so much better, it shouldn't even be a choice in the matter.

Maybe you just got a rare bad IL stick.

If you need more confirmation, go to www.shoryuken.com and ask which is better. The answer will always be (100%) IL.

I agree. When building my Capcom Anthology cab I used IL sticks and they feel sooo much better than the Happ Crapp that I used on my MAME cab.

I have install 4 of those from Lizard Lick (those italian ones) on my Mortal Kombat and neogeo mvs cabs and they work fine. I had no problems with special moves in Samurai Showdown or in MK1 with the typical diagonal moves.

I guess you didn't read my post. The new (in the last 9 months) HAPP sticks (with white actuators added) are very good, perfect in my opinion. I wanted to know if anyone has new ILs and if they are good, it would be great if they had new HAPP ones for comparison. I guess I will have to buy the ILs myself and try them. I just hope I am not sorry I did.

EDIT:

My concern was because I have and older set of IL competition sticks and they suck.
