I said to her, you should see these guys on klov, all they talk about is arcade games, it's like they live for this stuff; and you know what she said to me, "honey, will you please stop talking about video games!"

I guess some people just don't get it.

Mine complains too. If it's not the money then it's the space issue. If it's not the space, it's the time spent on it. They don't realize guys need an outlet. Mine happens to be video games.

Just tell her the average gamer is age 35 (true) and it's by far the dominant form of entertainment surpassing the movie industry and has for decades.

I have found a solution to my Wife's complaining. Every time she starts in I suggest she go buy a purse or shoes and then she is ok until the next game. Not a solution but at least a band aid. It fixes the issue for a little while.

My wife was a little set off by the game thing but when I started making her part of my hobby and not just the wife of a guy that has games...things changed.

Guy's who are at home messing with their games are guy's who aren't out screwing around on their wives...

As last year came to a close, my wife once again expressed that the time i spend on arcade crap has really gotten old and she can't wait till it's over. I nicely asked her to take a look at the back yard, admire the patio and 120 foot retaining wall that was put in last summer then i reminded her that 90% of the $16,000 this cost was paid for by the hobby she hates so much.

With my wife it's worst. I have the pinball hobby, video game hobby and I run a pinball business. I have some separate friends on the pinball side and other guys who only are on the video game side. I put in a lot of hours every week and the wife hates it.

i try to involve my wife. get to know what games she likes and get em! she fell in love with track and feild and if we taped it would be able to be in the top 10 on twin g...
i try to make sure to find ones she digs and involve her.... also now that i opened my collection up to the public and have it in my record store its part of the "business" so that helps me justify my nerdy hobby a bit... "honey, i have to work late again tonight...."
