I think I'm gonna cap my Vs Dualsystem monitors this weekend

DON'T!!!!!!!!! hold the chassis like that!!!!!!

it can/will break the chassis or traces from the weight of the flyback.

if you catch any of the wiring on something while moving it around it will crack it pretty badly.

Even before adjustment, the difference between the before and after is huge. I didn't realize how bad it was until I actually fixed it. The pictures don't do it justice at all. I'm going to do the other side tonight when we get home from visiting family today.

I edited together the two pictures for a better comparison, before on top and after on bottom. I took the before months ago when I first bought it, I had to go on imgur.com to re-download it because I just deleted a bunch of pictures. I took the after last night, I just realized I took both pictures at just about the same place in the attract mode. I wasn't even trying to, weird.

make sure to set your B+ to 108vdc. if the pot hasn't been moved from the factory setting then mark it where its at now and break the pot free with the power OFF. there is usually some white stuff that looks like white out on the top of the pot preventing it from turning, so mark its current position and with the game off then completely turn it in both directions and put it back to the original position that you previously marked it at and then turn the game on and let run 20 minutes before setting your B+.

I'm going to set the B+ and adjust everything once I do the other side. I just had to turn it on and make sure it still worked otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep.

I just realized I have a 220uf 50v cap left. I'm pretty sure it's for c469 but I can't find it on the board anywhere. Could my model not have it or am I going crazy?

I fiddled with it for hours, this is as good as I can get it. The right side looks amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. The left side still looks a tad off and I can't seem to get it quite right. It definitely looks better than before I did the cap kit but it looks more washed out than the right side.

looks for like the black level/brightness is too high.

they are looking better.

your white balance on both of them is off.

did you use my second video i posted above?

it shows how to perfectly color and white balance the Sanyo.

I did, they were very helpful but I just couldn't get them quite right. I'll get out in the garage tonight and try to get them right.

cool sounds good.

make sure you let the monitors warm up for 30+ minutes before you try any adjustments.

have you set the B+ on them to 108vdc??

Yes, 108.00 on the dot. I think I'm just bad at adjustments. I'm going to find a decent sized mirror and try again, all I could find in the house was a small hand mirror.

if you put the monitors behind the cab on a cooler or short table of some vintage, you can adjust them in about 5-7 minutes.

when your done, put them back in the cab.

I'll probably do this next weekend, that sounds a lot easier than stretching both my arms, peeking in a mirror and hoping I don't get shocked. I gotta put in that one cap I accidentally missed on the left monitor too.
