I think I'm gonna cap my Vs Dualsystem monitors this weekend

Any recommended kits and videos to watch? I'd like to do the sound boards too.

I'm sure Buffet has a video but i'm a terrible searcher

if they are sanyo 20ez monitors then they are pretty straight forward and all my sanyo cap kits come with audio amp rebuild kit with caps and transistors. caps are the best quality nichicon 105c. buffett has a video on adjusting the colors on that monitor and john's arcade has a video on the capping.

I wish your sale started today so I could get them by the weekend.

I have to take the tube out the front to get the chassis out, right?

yes the nintendo cabs you pull the monitor out the front of the cabinet. just remember on the sanyo chassis there is a screw holding the chassis to the frame that you can only access from the bottom of the frame and all the rest are on top.

made you sale code work today so its working for you early.

Watch buffets video AND JUST CAP THESE DAMN THINGS ALREADY! Its not that big of a deal ;)

Before.

After.

if you need parts i have them.

if you run into problems let us know.

if you get fed up with them, send them on in.

Peace
Buffett

I got two cap kits on the way from Pete, they'll be here on Friday so I can do em this weekend. I'm going to pull the monitors tonight so I can jump on it right after work tomorrow. I successfully capped my Centipede a few weeks ago, that was a huge confidence boost. I'll make sure to post plenty of pictures along the way, you guys are the best. Thanks

make sure to take pictures before you remove the chassis from the frame so you know how they go back together or make sure to only pull one chassis finish it before pulling the second so you have a reference to go by. the sanyo has more wires because you have the audio amp and pay close attention to the plugs on the audio amp because they are labeled with letters on the plugs so you know where they go. it is possible to get the backwards and that will be BAD. sanyo chassis overall i personally like working on them and make sure to recheck the B+ after your done and reinstalled but let the chassis run 15-20 minutes before resetting it. here is how to check the B+:

Sanyo 20 EZ – 108vdc check with meter black lead to ground and red lead on +BC lug on right rear of board (standing behind looking at board).

make sure to set your B+ before making any adjustment to the monitor.

That was surprisingly easy and a lot less scary than I expected.

use my videos and you will be fine.

Peace
Buffett

I have a few times, they're very informative. The only thing I have to test with is the game that's in it. Should I plug the monitor into power and set the B+ before plugging anything else in or can I hook everything up, turn the game on and then set the B+?

You can just hook it up and adjust.
