I broke a leg leveler plate off my mspac. I think im screwed now. The bottom of the cab is pretty shot but I am trying to save it. It looks wet because I took some minwax and sprayed it all over the bottom to hopefully make it stronger than before.

Anyway before I sprayed all the minwax I broke off a chunk of the particle board trying to remove the damn plate.

So what are my options at this point in time. Should I just continue on and apply the bondo? How would I attache the leg leveler plate back with out cracking the bondo?

Damn

Well, if it was me, I'd probably knock that bottom out and cut a new one...

Now that the sides are a lot harder because of the minwax that's not a bad idea. I do have a piece of 3/4 ply in waiting that's big enough. The only problem is there might not be enough of the sides to reattach the bottom up in the front of the cab.

I still don't have a biscuit joiner to repair the side's correctly. I hear I might have one on the way because I let a friend walk with a few pieces of warhammer to sell on ebay.

Man I wish I was a carpenter sometimes, because I have no skills at that shit.

I'd remove the other plates and just put the plywood over the bottom using Liquod nails and some nails or screws. Paint it black and then reattach the plates to the new bottom. I rebuilt a Galaga bottom and it was a pain.

Crap.. I need to do that on my Tapper eventually. Thanks, particle board bottom. I don't look forward to it.

These cabs, esp. Midways, are easy to take apart. Sawzall and a hammer. Make a new piece, install and go. I had to do this to the front, bottom and bottom back on my Galaga. Took a few days of work, but not hard.

Get to it!
