Playing around on EBAY last night and noticed a game that was only about 40 miles away so I sent the guy a message to see if I could come and look at it. He had the game listed at a starting bid of $150.00 with a buy-it-now for $300.00. I went out and looked at it and it was in a little strip mall shop in Shelbyville, Indiana, When I walked in he had a sing on it for $250.00. I offered him $200.00 and he said he would take it if I paid cash. I played this game a ton when I was a kid and probably put $100 worth of quarters in it growing up.

Probably wondering what it is, huh?

Danny Sullivan's INDY HEAT. Everythings on it works great and has a great 25" monitor. All steering, pedals, buttons, coin mechs worked great. Sound had a ltiile static. Go and pick it up tomorrow! Does anybody have any NOS side art?

I will post pics tomorrow!

One of those heavy as hell games.

Bought and sold one a few years back for about the price you paid.

Fun to own for awhile, not fun to move.

Funny coming across this thread, just put mine up for sale tonight on CL. I love the game, but doing some rearranging of the room for different games, and this has to go.

It's sad to, because you don't see very many of these around.

ice find, hope you enjoy it! Check the speakers in it, test it with a working/new speaker and see if that is it. That's what it was with mine.

anyone know if the pcb will work in a super off road cabinet?

Wow, Shelbyville? Small world. I go there from time to time for work. Did this place have other games to play or was this the only one? I'm always looking for other things to do other than getting killed at the casino there.

yes, they had maybe 6-7 others. Most were for sale. Pole Position, Carn-Evil, Capcom Bowling (Coors Light edition), Commando, 1000 Great American Mile Rally. Police Trainer.
Take the 2nd Shelbyville exit (HWY 44) and they are just south of 74, on the left side fo the steet. They are in a strip mall and the store is called Odds n Ends. A ton of vintage albums and records. A lot of vintage came carts. Atari 2600, nnintendo, Playstation 1, 2 3. I spent a good 2 hours in there just looking around.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I'll have to check this place out the next time I'm in town. Sounds like a good place to build up the Atari 2600 collection, too.

Pictures!

Here are some pics of the Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat game I scored over the weekend. I had to take it apart to get it in my basement. The whole front of it comes off and I also took the monitor out of it to lighten it up. It is a beast, but well worth it. I had to put a new ballast for the marquee (which is perfect- both the front and the rear marquee's) My son is checking it out for me. I poured a ton of money into this game when I was a kid....

A few scratches on the cabinet but overall, not horrible for $200.00 bucks
