Play Sinistar at Richie Knucklez last week...holy crap is that game cool/fun/scary/hard! I am gonna keep my eye out for one locally! Anyone own one and have opinions? I don't have room for sit down version so I'm just gonna stick to finding an upright.

It is one of my favorites. Just be aware that there is a large learning curve and it will still kick your ass. At the time that Sinistar was released, operators were clamering for games that would only last 3 minutes. And that is what they got. You will not marathon on a Sinistar. But besides that, it is a game that has stood the test of time and is always in demand.

Good luck in your Sini-hunt.

I loved the game BITD and haven't regretted buying one at all. It is one of my favorite games. It is extremely difficult and will take a while to improve, but I still am glad I bought it.

That's definitely on my list of things to get. My wife put a moratorium on game buying till next year, but I'd like to pick one up at that point. I never see them in Chicago though.

That game will definitely beat you down. I think I've maybe gotten to the third Sinistar when I was a kid, but no further.

One of my Grail games, took a long time to track down a HUO cockpit and it's been down more time than working since I've owned it... But I'd do it again :) You DO have room for a cockpit but understand it would fit better in your row as an upright. Get one.

Sinistar

Well I don't no much about that game. If I pick up the one from the Old lady what is it worth if I got it running and cleaned it up. Is it a $500 game or a $1000 game . Whats the deal with it I just don't remember ever playing. The cabinet on that one wasn't that bad.

I don't own one, but agree that it's an awesome game. You can't have a pulse and hear "I live" or "Run, coward!" without having it beat a little bit faster.

Awesome game! It's such a tough game but my teenage sons enjoy, probably because it is so tough.

Its a $350 game if you want me to buy it

I never did play the sitdown. I had an upright local when I was in 6th grade.

You've got two of the manliest games around next to one another. Is that on purpose?

The deal?

1. It's a Williams game. Enough said.
2. Early digitized speech.
3. Heart pounding gameplay.
4. Highly desired and collectible. Value will be higher than many other games of that era. Will never have a problem selling if needed.

It's a great game, the sound and speech is awesome on it. Every sound effect in the game is perfect, even down to the bullets, and the noises the other ships make when they catch a crystal. Awesome game.
