I picked up some broken games this weekend including an I Robot. Very minor monitor problem and now it's up and running. Even though it's rather rare, I'm not keeping it. Overall good shape. Ideas of value? They don't come up on ebay very often, so I'm not sure.

Thanks Tronguy, I had not seen that price guide before. Looking @ the other games, it looks very accurate.

It's *somewhat* accurate (which, BTW, is a feat in and of itself). I'm glad it exists.

$1000 - $1800 for an I Robot is a good benchmark but, seeing as though it's working and doesn't look like it fell off a truck, it should do better than $1000. Neat find.

great score there erich..... since atari didnt make a ton of this game, any idea what the serial # is?? does it have all matching #'s too? that could def make a difference in pricing the game.

The serial numbers probably do match, it looked completely un-molested (in storage @ girlfriend's garage currrently). Had an interesting story behind it, a local law firm used it, star wars and battlezone for a patent dispute case about 10 years ago to prove that 3d technology existed BEFORE the company that was suing their client. The law firm bought the machines (from who knows where) solely for that purpose.

Ha - that's a great story!

But why didn't they just whip out a few of these?

Beautiful game. I love mine and would never part with it. It's a keeper. Neat story behind behind the history.BTY Arcadeshop.com sells the control panel instructions as it looks like the one is missing (the one directly obove the controller) and the one that goes behind the glass was reproduced as well but can't remember who did that one..congrats.

Also FYI an untested boardset just went for 481 on eBay Friday.

Congrats on your pickup. Great game with great sounds. As a kid, I never opted for the drawing game as I thought it was a total waste to noodle around for $.25. Quarters were like gold back then. Never liked to waste them.

I still don't know what that drawing thing looks likE in action. need to check it out on MAME.

I remember being MESMERIZED by the 3D-ism of Tail Gunner BITD. The arcade of my earliest days had a cockpit.

That was Tailgunner II. The original Tailgunner was an upright and less than 10 are known to exist. The gameplay is pretty much the same, if not the same as the upright.
