Space/alien themed would be sweet, but I'd also take jungle or ghost-themed. Why are they so hard to find? The only one that has been up for sale locally was the Arctic Gun that I posted a thread about a few months back. Gorfchampion ended up getting that one. Anyone ever see these machines come up for sale (working)? Anyone besides Perf, Wickedbass and that dude who is selling one in the EM section have one or more in the cade? I'd LOVE to see pics of them mixed in with your 80's video games. Damn I need an EM.

I want one too! Local collector friend of mine got a Duck Hunt EM shooter at an auction a while back. It needs work though and uses a light gun instead of pure electromechanical. Speaking of which, I need to remember to ask McLemore of a source for those bulbs.

I want one too. I had a line on a wild west themed EM shooter but I haven't contacted the guy about it for quite a few months.

Fullthrottle has two or three in his housecade. I believe one was jungle themed and another was a gangster theme.

My Grandparents lived on Catalina Island for 58 years and we used to go work there for the summer. They had 2 big arcades that had tons of EM shooters and classic old long skee balls boardwalk style and I have always wanted these machines. Both pins I own are EM and my brother owns 12. The last Arcade on Catalina came up for sale about 8 months ago but I just don't have the funds. My brother and I wanted to turn it classic boardwalk style. Alot of EM'S and fortune tellers 21 roller ball games, pitch and bats ect... Sorry for going off but I love this stuff.

Chris here in MN had gotten a beautiful 'Sniper' machine for free from some op's warehouse last year. The only issue was the bezel/front glass was cracked. Damn that machine was gorgeous. When we opened up the back and saw those rows and rows of mechanical relays and solenoids firing it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Guys - there's a Wild Kingdom looks like the sniper game in the pix above for sale here in Bismarck. At least I think it's for sale; I'm pretty sure the owner would get rid of it, and he makes trips into MN pretty often. Has a stuck relay but the sounds all work, game functions work manually but it won't "boot".

PM me if you'd like me to connect you with the owner.

I've seen a few pop up out here in CA on CL. Never really looked into them though so don't know what they sold for. Actually I think my aunt mentioned a guy who lived on here street who has a garage full.

They don't surface often around here. I had to make an 8 hour round trip to get my gangbusters. It has an issue with the scoring, but is in pretty decent shape.

I watched Jaws on Encore yesterday and saw the part that shows the Killer Shark EM game- really cool. I also did a key chain for someone for Space Pilot:

The flyers for some of the EM games are so freakin' cool...

At my last party(sept 09) the most played games were my Captain Kid EM shooter and Sea Wolf. They never sat idle. Since then I picked up that Arctic Gun EM, which has a couple issues but a fellow klov'r and I are making progress.

These old EM's are so much fun to play and to just look at, they carry a whole different feel than the rest of my games. I'd like to have 3 or 4 more.

Phet, I think Gary Southward has a TON of these old EM's, as he has hoarded everything for the past 25 years or so. Problem is are any of them in decent shape anymore? He told me he has 11 semi trailers FULL of games, most are EM's. I have yet to make a trip up there to check those trailers out. I'm almost scared to see what he has.

At his brother's place he has a lot of EM's including a 1958 Sky Raiders(which he ain't gonna sell) and a lot of love testers and strength testers, etc. He had a Sea Raider last time I was there, too(about a year ago).

I've kept my eye out for one, too. I think that it would make an interesting restoration project. I have occasionally seen EM shooting games come up on local CL, but so far, not one that's really appealed to me.

You could also check with John at Pinball Plus or with Tim at Nabours Novelty - never know what they have in the warehouse that they'd sell as-is...

PJ's Pinball in Culver City had a few for sale the last time I was there.

The guy knows how to fix these machines so they are in pretty good shape and the prices probably reflect that. I rarely see cheap working EM gun games for sale around here, and when I do, they are sold very quickly. It seems a lot of "pin only" collectors like these machines too.

Working EM gun games are definitely collectibles.

I remember playing Sniper back in the day. Those are some of my earliest arcade memories. I played a similar EM shooter a couple of years ago at the Pinball Museum in Vegas. Cool stuff. Does anyone know of a complete database of these type of EM games? Are they listed in the KLOV? I guess i will check on that.

I would really like to get one too someday. What's the one where you are a plane that flys around a city going under bridges etc? A local pizza place has one and it's super fun.

Whats with the peg board looking piece at the bottom of the cabs? what is it for or do?

that spooks looks awesome lit up!
