I found a 720 last week and am thinking of going to pick it up,it's driving me crazy constantly thinking about it. It is in decent shape but needs work. The reason I didn't jump on it was that I don't know how plentiful the repro market is for this game and fear that if I get it,it will sit and never work again. The monitor is still there but missing the chassis, the ultimate experience panel is gone as is the glass, needs side art, joystick needs rebuilt, does not have the original coin mechs or door. Other than that (I think) everything is there but I am also wondering if the board still works. What other System II game can I test the boards in? I just see this thing costing me big $$$$$$$$$$$ in the long run and it's a game I have always wanted but not a grail for me. What do you guys think I should do

buy it, they dont come around everyday.

Always regret selling my last one (which was in way btter shape then my new one)

One of the few in my collection that I always play. Think Paperboy is system 2 as well.

If you don't want to take on the project then at the very least you could part it out so other 720s can be restored.

I think the hardest thing to find would be the chassis and the plate for the ultimate aerial experience decal. All the art is out there and Rich is supposed to get some more vinyl. If you can get a very good deal then I would go for it.

I think I have an extra plate. I'm 700 miles away from home. When I get home on Sunday, ill look. You should definitely pick this up. All the art is reproduced, and there is a ton of 720 owners that will be glad to help you get it going. I needed a chassis when I got mine. My original was flaky. It didn't take too long to find another.

I would buy it at a decent price, I wouldn't want to spend too much on it knowing that it will be costly to repair.

Yes definately let me know if you find it. I decided to go ahed and buy the machine. I just had this feeling deep down like I need to ressurect it. Wish me luck on finding a chassis.

Definitely a good idea to score it if you can get a decent deal. It is one of 2 games that started the dreams for me so long ago. I still play mine a lot and would play more if I had more time to actually finish a game. I have a couple rebuild kits around here if you need one and I also have a CP (minus the joystick) in pretty good shape.

What chasis is it..I have a few floating around the storage.

I'm on my 2nd 720 now. It's a keeper. Remember, you don't have to use that particular monitor in that game. I think you could put any 25" med res monitor in there as long as you move the tube and chassis onto the original shelf mount monitor frame. Sometimes it takes a little improvisation as far as mounting the chassis.

Anyone here have a PDF for 720's 25" monitor? The link for it on Jeff's site does not work.

Just fixed the link - thanks for letting me know: http://www.720zone.com/720-Downloads.html

Wish I had a lead on a monitor for you; nothing at the moment. As far as using any old medium rez tube, some of the monitor experts here can provide much more guidance that me.

SKATE OR DIE!!
