Thanks go to Rich for making this for me. he printed this and D2K side art sized for my cabaret. This is on removable re-stickable vinyl. That way I can take it off without damaging the cabinet.

The D2K I had him print on cloth (like wallhogs) instead of vinyl. The only problem is that his plotter couldn't cut it even though the manufacturer said it can be cut with a plotter.

So now I need to decide if I want to have D2K on the other side or DK. I am actually leaning towards having DK on both sides.

Here is a video. You can see the D2K art in it too.

Yeah I agree that looks pretty sweet. Not the standard iconic DK Cab, but I love the woodgrain contrasting the sideart. :) Groovy.

I like your idea, but the art looks like its placed kinda low on an already short cab. Maybe make it a few inches smaller and boost it up the side a bit. That big DK logo area doesn't work very well with the shape at the top of the cab. When I did my DKJR, I did a bunch of mock-ups to make sure the jr side art would work. The smaller 'head' area actually helps the side art fit that weird point a little better. Because of that I was able to make it as big as would fit and still be able to push it up toward the top.

Well, we all know how you like your side art high up. :p

I put it where I thought it looked balanced, Although I think your placement works for the Jr cabinet.

I can't wait to see where you put the side art on your DK Cabaret. :D So wussing out.

Thanks for commenting Phet! Much appreciated!

I still think I'm gonna have to alter the top of the Popeye side art to make it fit this cab shape better when I build my Popeye cabaret. I think that should be relatively easy if I can download the vector file that vectorlib used to have.

BTW, it looks fine with it unaltered, although I think is is smaller than the size you did your Jr side art:

Edit, if you make it a point, you should make it asymetrical like the cabinet shape. Otherwise it will look weird.

Looks pretty cool  I always toyed with the idea myself and having it removable and reusable is fantastic! And also means you can shimmy it up a few inches ;)

Is Rich offering these for sale? I'd grab a set for one of my cabarets.

Agreed... looks great to me too! :beerchug:

Thanks Jeff!! :beerchug: A Tempest cabaret would look really nice next to it. ;)

Thanks!

I like where it is, also in that position I don't have to worry about the carriage bolt. If you want a set let Rich know.

Looks good, as I'm not a fan of the wood grain on the sides it now has art to look it at.

So cute. I just want to put backpack straps on it and carry it around town.
