Yup! the 13" monitors don't bother me much, but it's definitely a different gaming experience. You notice it more on a game like Missile Command than a game like Donkey Kong, though.

I've found that, on CL, you can get cabarets for fairly cheap. People I've bought CL cabarets from don't generally know a lot about them, though. Here, people know them and either love or hate them...and ask quite a bit of $$ for them regardless. ;)

to me there the best of both world's,im very space restricted. You can have a game and space too!

Thats why im always looking for them. I have 6 in a small bedroom and could easily get a few more in there. Its just so hard to find them....unless you are willing to have them shipped.

That is a nice price. I picked up a non-working Gorf Cabaret in Lincoln, Nebraska this past summer. Got it for $250. The guy was asking $550 on craigslist, but wasn't seeing any action (not surprising). ELutz is just now finishing up some repair work on my boards and hacked wiring harness. Should be playing by Christmas.

I love cabarets. I only own one right now, a dedicated Ms.PacMan with a 96-in-1 kit that I bought for $550.00 back in early 2000. Wow, she's been with me for nearly 12 years! :)

I've owned three others over the years though... a dedicated Turbo mini for $200.00, a Trivia Whiz in a converted Gorf mini for $100.00, and a Tournament Arkanoid in a Centipede mini for $75.00.

They're great little cabinets.

Kyle

I just can't stand the wood grain on them...now if they had side art then great...I know some do but most I have seen are wood grain.

You know what would be awesome? A Moppet Style Cabinet, nice and small with cool side art. But instead of their games like Noah's Ark...something I Like...a game that I love:)

The one I played last night was in a gray laminated cab, looked great. Even though I was buying stuffi still had to coin it up to play,LOL

Those were designed to fit into places like "classy" restaurants or businesses - small, unobtrusive, "blend in to the background" Ha ha, yeah, right. But that was the thinking - back then a lot of places were still wood paneling, wood grain (even cars) and having a smaller, less flashy game was more acceptable in some venues.

I personally LOVE cabaret's - wish I still had my old ones. Best ones were from Atari - they fit a 19" monitor in theirs, but managed the smaller size in spite of that. Tron Cabaret, Centipede, Tempest - would love to have those here.
