I just picked up a Pinbot and I am having trouble getting the balls to kick back out of the eye holes. Is there supposed to be an extra ball that kicks out to the plunger or are the balls supposed to pop back out of the eye sockets back to the playfield? Thanks.

You lock one of the balls in the visor the 2nd comes out from the plunger then you lock ball two in the visor and mulitball begins. There is only 2 balls not a third.....

The darn thing takes FOREVER to kick the two back out of the eyes! I think it has "issues"...

Are both eye switches working? If it takes a long time is it the machine going into recovery mode?

What is "recovery mode"? It just sits there playing music at me while it cycles through the up/down ramp and lights flashing mode.

Also, if there is a ball in the eye when the game ends and you try to start another game, it won't start. It just says "ball waiting" and again, takes forever to send the ball out to the playfield.

Pinbot eyes

If the ball is'nt sitting right in one of the eyes it will not know it's there. It Will do a ball search and kick it out

The game will count the time between a switch activating during game play. If a certain period of time goes by with no movement the machine will assume a ball is stuck somewhere and will cycle through the solenoids in an attempt to free a trapped ball. The solenoids in the eye will fire under the assumption a ball is there but the switch is not registering it. I am guessing your eye switch is not working so the machine does not know the ball is there. It is only kicked out during recovery mode when the game is cycling through all solenoids. Go into test mode and in the Switch Edges test check the suspect eye switch.

I found a small diode that was broken off under the eyes. It appears to be functioning correctly now. I will continue to have my 7 year-old test it. He works cheap. Thanks.
