Okay, it's monitor time! Funny, as long as I've been in this business I never really messed around with monitor repair. I can remove a board and whatnot, but as far as actual board-level repair, I sadly have very little experience.
Anyways, sob story aside, it's time to learn! So what I have right now is an older megatouch that was converted to a touchmaster. Uses a Ducksan monitor mounted upside down, model number is cgm-1301. I have AC in, and the fuse checks out ok (in circuit). That's about as far as I know how to go from here. If someone can educate me, that'd be awesome. I can read schematics, but I need a little more education on basic electronics as to what components actually DO. (as in, what does a cap actually do in a circuit?)
Thanks in advance to any and all who read, and even better, take the time to help me out! It's really appreciated.
