Hi,
If you are local to me and can honestly fix the half screen by replacing the caps or whatever on the monitor, then please reply here or pm me. Please quote me a price as well. I need to know how much to save up. I also Have a donkey kong with jailbar syndrome that needs to be addressed.

Thanks

If you cannot find someone locally both issues are easy to fix. The DK monitor needs a cap kit - cost ya $10=$12 plus your time. The K6100 deflection failure is most likely a failed surface mount transistor. Those are usually $1.50 piece and replace the mica insulator underneath it while applying a new layer of silicone grease. Use your DMM and place it on continuity test. Put the black lead to ground and put red ontop of the transistor and if it beeps it's blown. If standing behind the monitor there's two mounted on the right hand side of the chassis and two or three underneath the actual deflection board. They literally are screwed into place - those require zero soldering.
