To offer a working pac-man boardset which I think is from Mikes Arcade. I have had it sitting next to my desk for about a year now and after all the negative shit going on with people getting screwed over Id like to give out a freebie.

1st, if anyone on here has gotten screwed over for a Pac-Man board set just post up a link to your thread where you have mentioned it and the board is yours.

2nd, if noone is owed one from someone else I will need ideas for an easy contest. Something simple.

3rd, I will find some other things to give away as well that i have sitting around.

4th, shipping will be paid by me as well.

Once again Im just trying to give a bit back while I can. Im one of the retailers on here but everyones always been kind and helped me learn the art of arcade and pinball repair. I have bought a few games form people on here and always had a great experience.

So anyway help me think of a fun and simple contest and we can get rolling. I can use some other things for prizes if someone is owed the board set and I can make a deal right.

Sounds like a cool gesture towards the community.

What are you a retailer of?

I work for a game room company. Aminis.com <---Our parent company.

I work on the website gameroomchamp.com

We have 5 stores with the one here in St. Louis being the flagship. Its supposed to be one of the biggest in the country as far as showroom space, 55,000 sq ft. We sell Handmade and machine made rugs, leather, theater seating, arcade games, pinballs, pool tables, shuffleboards, and the list goes on.

Not many replies on this. Maybe I shoulda posted somewhere else or made a better title lol.

That is actually kind of funny. I met up with a long distance person to sell them an arcade game and we decided to meet in the Amini's parking lot in Chesterfield bottom to do the trade. Small world.

Maybe the contest should be Pac-Man related. How about this:

1. Get a squeeze bottle of mustard. Must be Pac yellow (no Grey Poupon allowed).
2. Using the mustard, draw Pac-Man on your own face without looking (no mirrors, no self-monitoring via video, etc). No cheating... the honor system is in effect.
3. Post the photo of your mustard-covered face. Better yet, maybe make videos mandatory.
4. The best mustard Pac-Man wins.

Yes, I agree that it should be an arcade related contest designed to humiliate the participants. Sounds like fun!

I like it. We need more ideas like this. Ill try to gather up some other prizes in the meantime. And post what I have.

Trying to catch up from all the damn weather so Ill keep checking but give me a bit to get the other prizes picked out.

Why not some simplier like....

- A high score contest. Our wonderful poster can name the games to be included.
I recognize it may be hard for the winner to submit a Pac-Man score without already
having a working Pac-Man game, unless something like MAME or a xx-in-1 was also
acceptable.
- The contest is only open to people restoring dedicated Pac-Man games and must
submit pictures.
- Has the goofiest Pac-Man memorbilia and must submit pics.

You could always have people guess the time and date of when I hit 30000 posts, or some other number - depending on how long you want the contest to go. Limit one guess per person, and the winner is the closest without going over.

Or make people post pics of themselves kneeling in front of a Pac cab holding a sign that says "pretty please?"

I fell for that one early on, right after I joined. :D (Shardian giving away some Atari volcano buttons... I was totally willing to trade dignity for that!) Thanks again, Shard!

I remember that...I remember thinking...oh never mind! :)

My goal is to have this figured out by the end of next week. Just as it slowed down here at work it picked right back up.

Im thinking we take the kneeling idea and the mustard idea and mash them together.

IE, You have to kneel down next to something pacman related <arcade would be nice> with a mustard covered face holding a sign that says pretty please.

how does that sound..:)

When's the deadline? I guess I gotta go buy some mustard, now...

I'm shocked no one stepped forward about getting screwed over on a PM board. I guess that's a good thing, though.

Ill announce a start and finish. Im waiting to get into a storage facility to find what else I have to offer. I want to have a few things so hopefully a couple people can have some prizes.

I should be by there on wed. Damn snow is throwing everything off.
