I miss vision pro monitor's....

I just ordered a bare tube. $75 delivered. I'll let you know how it works.

So bare tube = yoke swap = convergence hell, right?

Please do let us know how it works -- I have a Spy Hunter that could use a new tube for the G07.

Thanks!

Full CRT monitor setups are still available. People act like they are non existant.
19" TV's and Wei-Ya chassis are still available. Why anyone would want to or still feel the need for an LCD is beyond me.
LCD's are great for people building Multi's to sell because 19" PC lcd's are dirt cheap and easily had. I did say "to sell". To keep ...... hell no.

Convergence isn't a bitch on a raster monitor. The Vectors is what will kick your ass..

Tell me about it ! I've been trying to converge a WG6100 with a 25" CRT but I can't get it completely right....

But that's another story. I see 2nd hand TV's (which we can use through SCART here) everywhere for close to nothing.
I'm sure the supply of these will last quite some time. And yes, new CRT monitors are still available.

When they do run out, my hope is built on the availability of OLED flexible screens that could be glued to the surface of a CRT. That way, we would at least have the right curve.

I so wish we had SCART devices here. :(

Now we just need to find a LCD that can run at 15hz. I just bought a 19" 4:3 monitor for $75 for my computer. There must be some kind of hack to run the lower refresh rate, screw $500!!!

Actually, the funny thing is you can run most LCDs at that refresh rate. Several years ago there were several LCD products meant for the command and control market which would convert your analog signal, say 2k x 2k resolution, and drive several LCDs at a very low rate. LCDs, unlike CRTs, do not "flicker" due to a low refresh rate.
